About Headstrong Packs

Headstrong Packs was founded by Bob Barkley, a former automotive engineer who has decided to make better products for the outdoors by combining his engineering education (U of Waterloo) with his extensive design knowledge and 'field' experience.

The first product, the Headstrong Harness, was conceived after a particularly painful day of portaging a barrel. Bob asked the question "can't somebody come up with something better than this?" and then decided to do something about it.

The Headstrong Harness has been extremely well received by the paddling community. For 2006, we are releasing the equally innovative Headstrong100 portage pack.
